Enumclaw Residence

This home is located on a beautiful property out in the country. We oriented the plan to provide a sense of enclosure and security for the family. Any approach to the residence must pass through the porte cochere to access the front door. The great room and kitchen areas share a cozy fireplace and ample seating, with a gently arched ceiling that directs the eye toward the surrounding pasture. On a clear day, Mount Rainier is framed by the windows surrounding the fireplace.

The approach to the master suite features a curved hallway decorated by brass salmon castings designed by a local artist. The bedroom wing is modeled after forest fire observation towers. It is constructed with huge timber beams and filled with windows to capture the beautiful views and to allow the morning sun to fill the bedroom with light.
