Bumstead Residence

This extensively remodeled home now has traditional detailing throughout and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and ponds. Guests are greeted by huge stone columns and flowing waterfalls as they pass through the water gardens to the front door. Landscaping was carefully chosen to provide a splash of color and ensure changing plant life throughout every season. Inside, the marble entry is gently heated to warm the feet when one comes in from the gardens. The living room fireplace mantel features hand carved molding for a truly elegant touch. The updated kitchen, with its wide-open ceilings is the entertainment hub of the house. The custom pot rack was built to conceal the lighting for the island, as well as provide a more human sense of scale to the area. The informal dining room has seating for up to 20 while the formal dining room offers a more intimate experience for smaller parties. Down in the basement, the movie theater is complete with plush theater style chairs and a projector screen to provide the true theater experience.

The master bedroom has matching eyebrow dormers as well as built-in bookcases to provide a great place to sit and read a book or enjoy the sunrise. There is even a full workout room complete with it’s own television built behind the full height mirrors. Lighting and security controls are accessible through several touch screen panels; there is even one in the master bathroom. This is a truly gracious home that has become a favorite gathering place for all of the Bumstead extended family.
